Kampung Mbale, the simplicity of the shape of the house java

If we study the Javanese traditional buildings, especially in Gunung kidul, we met many traditional house typology limasan, kampung or joglo. But you know that there is a building typology that besides?
there is a different and simple but has a distinctive structure and shape are almost similar, but has its own grip the traditional houses 'kampung Mbale' 

Ya, this name may not be familiar to all of you who believe only limasan, kampung and joglo, which you know is the traditional home of Java in Indonesia. However, our research team who was then being exploration of Java building at ground Gunung Kidul find this kind of typology. Those villagers Purwodadi, sub Tepus, Gunung Kidul district, calling it 'omah Mbale kampung'.

We obtain empirical data, from the time of our interviews from some informants that the original residents of the village we also find it curious.Mr. Tugimin showed us the typology of the house, which turned out to belong to his brother's house. The house is not far from his house, just walk about 3 minutes from his home then we arrived at his brother's house. It is this 'kampung omah Mbale' belonging to his brother's.


In this village house of this type there is only one that belonged to Mr. Sariyanto. Kampung mbale house is different from the limasan house and visible from the characteristic roof.

'kampung Mbale' house owned by Mr. Sariyanto this, newer younger than about 10 years. This house has not changed however is already using tile tiled new model. 'Kampung Mbale' house can be connected with limasan house but it turns out the two are actually no a special connection. As his house, he just happen to want a house style 'kampung Mbale' so he built adjacent to the old house that is limasan by combining the two.
