"Indonesia, Architecture without deconstruction"

Early emergence of deconstruction architecture background by understanding the success of capitalist and technological progress, so the idea of modernism in architecture is growing in Western Europe since the late 19th century. This appearance eventually crystallize into a stream at the CIAM congress in 1928 as the International style.

Then much later continued exhibition of "Deconstruction of Architecture" held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in July and August 1988, deconstruction became a new flow in Architecture and can continue the "International style"

With the history of the label 'international style' means that it is possible style 'architectural deconstruction' will appear also in Indonesia. But whether we are ready if deconstruction architecture among us? 

Before answering this question, we should first must know the meaning of 'deconstruction' from Derrida, a philosopher who came from Algiers. According to Derrida, deconstruction is not a method of thinking is destructive, because it always runs dismantle structures of meaning and woke up a concept. According to Derrida's "deconstruction attitude always affirmative and negative," because something negative does not open itself to the search for understanding more fully. The formulation of the deconstruction Derrida never definitively acquired. The difficulty lies in the deconstruction as a symptom Phenomenon "ridiculous" that never headed toward default. Derrida says that "deconstruction is not merely critical method". Method is defined as the critical need to have a critical attitude towards itself. With the critical nature of this, it ranges deconstruction is not limited to the context of the philosophy course.

  

With the concept of unlimited cruising deconstruction in philosophy, means the formation from deconstruction if translated into the realm of architecture. Then this type of deconstruction architecture has the potential to ignore the rules, symbolic and architectural philosophy that is still closely related to human life. You could say 'architectural deconstruction' is a pure architectural forms. So what if 'architectural deconstruction' appeared in Indonesia?

With a background or history of Indonesian society that is not far away and could not be separated from meaning of life and philosophy, the architecture of deconstruction as if denied its presence in Indonesia. so that whatever happens can not be denied that we are within the scope of a strong cultural roots, so that regardless of the outcome from the work culture as well as the architecture will become embedded values hierarchy from cultures and beliefs that form the symbolic belief in God

Most of the architecture in Indonesia nascent modern architectural style, but modern architecture is still using the rules constructive. So that modern architecture can still be accepted in Indonesia. whereas this international style though is also a kind of modern architecture, but this is a style of architecture that is not constructive means it has no rules because the rules rightly so. As if deconstruction is a freedom without having to follow the rules. Obviously we can not accept because we are accustomed to in the rules and norms.

Additionally, when deconstructing architecture was born in Indonesia, an attractive form from notching deconstruction will stir desires as architects to participate in work and designing the 'similar'. This means that his birth would trigger the emergence of new architectures for deconstruction and we certainly we are not ready.

It is very interesting when we discuss the 'architectural of deconstruction', the result of his form appears as a pure art that relativity value is very objective. 'Architectural of deconstruction' deliberately trying to create a "collision", from various forms of word game, in the hope of creating a more nuanced and deeper sense.

Relevance in this architecture explained that nobody knows which way it will evolve of deconstruction and he himself has no power to avoid being architecture "fashionable".

But as carryover of globalization, no matter how long we can avoid the possibility of the emergence of architectural of deconstruction of us and then quickly spread into a contemporary architectural style. Then if we are ready and willing it to happen, or we keep Indonesia to the architecture without deconstruction?
