Kuliah Kerja Lapangan ( college field work ) Report [1]

ABSTRACT

Traditional House of Java is more than just a place to stay. Javanese people prefer the moral community and the need to regulate citizens increasingly integrated in a single unit. The longer the demands of a growing community in the family so that there arose level position between human level that affect the physical appearance of a family home. Then comes architectural identity in the society. 

Traditional Javanese house is a symbol of status for the residents and also to keep a secret about the life of the residents. Traditional House of Java is a means to show who the real owner so that he can be understood and enjoyed by others. Javanese Traditional Houses also about the inner world that is never separated from Javanese life.

The shape of the House of Traditional Javanese influenced by two approaches:

• Geometry Approach controlled by its own power 
• Biophysical approaches that depend on the natural strength of the environment.

Both approaches eventually become a single entity. Both approaches have their respective roles, the circumstances that make one stronger, giving rise to a form that different when one of the more powerful role. Traditional House of Java is the unity of artistic value and the value of the building so that the added value of the work of human culture can be described scientifically. 

Javanese traditional house forms from time to time always changes shape. Broadly speaking, the abode of the Java can be divided into:

1. Houses Joglo Form
2. Houses Limasan Form
3. Houses Kampung Form

INTRODUCTION

Praise authors turning up to Allah SWT who has given an abundance of grace, and guidance so I can finish the book making of this report which is a compulsory subject for the task of taking on the eye passing Lecture Field Work at the University of Widya Mataram Yogyakarta. 

The authors recognize that the making of the series and this report is still far from perfection and many shortcomings. This is due to the limited ability and knowledge of the authors have, so input from various parties that are constructive will the author accept as something that is very valuable for writer primarily to increase the depth of knowledge the author. 

Furthermore, with humility on this occasion the authors also like to thank:

  1. H Satria Wibowo, ST. as a mentor author, under the direction and guidance to the author during the planning process, the manufacture and preparation of this report and we can complete in a timely manner.
  2. Department of Architecture Mrs. Dean, who has given permission to the author to conduct research in the Village Tepus, Purwodadi Gunung Kidul to fulfill the task subjects Lecture Field Work.
  3. Parents, family, and relatives. All of this would not run smoothly without the blessing and support. Especially parents who always gave adage, attention, affection, and the blessing of the spirit that makes a writer eager to seek knowledge for achieving education.
  4. All of the writers who can not mention one by one, for their support, help both morally and materially in the preparation and execution of this task. 

This report may be useful for the development of science and technology as well as to all interested parties.
