Traditional Javanese architecture

National traditional architectural philosophy is actually the legacy of our ancestors. Visually we can see from the shape, the fabric of space and the traditional structure of the archipelago. All that being "herb" is important in architectural culture. As well as traditional house in the village Purwodadi pyramid District of Gunung Kidul Tepus this. All of which reflect upon the wisdom of nature. Not like menuhankan environment, but have great respect for nature that has given many benefits to humans.
I am still amazed amazed with the philosophy of building for the people who put the Gunung Kidul as a sanctified place because the house that shade from the heat and the rain man and protect from lelapnya sleep and forming a family keakrapan best. Then the procedure of the construction and behavior of the very "special". The selection of the wood material has its own rules and so does not cut any trees because each tree has a spirit.

In the construction of the pyramid house limolasan (Java language) there are 8 cornerstone or pillar that has become a benchmark for home tiyang pyramid. 8 tiyang that support the roof of a very special, why? because suwunan (in modern construction is Nok) is tindieng omah home which means his spirit is in suwunan. because every house has a spirit and a spirit house located at suwunan. Traditional Javanese society believe that there should not sleep or sit under suwunan parallel because it will overlap. because it is taboo hence violating the rules will overlap. There is also an interesting thing on the roof rafter, because when viewed at a glance it looks like a very tightly irregular. Actually it is having its own count. Sri, fortune, Base, wurung is a reference installation pyramid roof rafter. Sri, meaning good fortune, while Base, wurung is bad. Then Sri and fortune in place at both ends of suwunan.
