INTRODUCTION vernacular architecture

The study of identity in architecture, is a phenomenon that is always interesting to be discussed. Not only on the identity of Indonesian architecture, but this identity problem has begun to be questioned on the level of regional architecture. The existence of Vernacular Architecture is a term that relates to the study of discourse in the regional architecture.  Attention to vernacular architecture has begun to develop since the publication of the book "Architecture without Architects", written in 1964 by Bernard Rudofksi.
